Baking scones

I have an oven! Look, I made scones

They don’t taste quite as scones should, but they’re still quite tasty and considering that I kind of winged it and improvised because I didn’t have all the ingredients… I’m rather happy with how they turned out.

Thought of the Day

This made me think about how much the internet has become part of our identity. Just look at facebook, myspace, but also at blogs like this one.

Fashion for Autumn Days

This fall, I love muted and natural hues, brown leather, knit-wear, feminine dresses and warm jackets.

How lucky for me that there’s a lot of fashion out there that I utterly adore. And how very unfortunate for my wallet, but that’s another story.

Thought of the Day

Recommendation: Thxthxthx

“Leah Dieterich's mother always told her to write thank you notes. So she does. To everything. thxthxthx is her daily exercise in gratitude.”

Today, I’d like to recommend thxthxthx, a blog full of thank you notes. It’s funny, at times pointless and at times bittersweet, always touching and always inspiring. There’s so much to be thankful for.

Outfit: Autumn Afternoon in Paris

I discovered polyvore.com and decided to play around a little bit. Since it’s all rainy and gray today, the outfit turned rather autumn-y, but I’m actually looking forward to dressing in warmer clothes, wool and hats and gloves, so that’s okay.

Sometimes I love my faculty

cocktails at law faculty 001

Why? Because it offered free cocktails on the introduction day for the first years and no one checked if we were all really first years – or even law students, in case of my boyfriend.

Cuba Libre, Cosmopolitan and Mojito. They were delicious.

And crazy is the forecast of the week.

Jason Mraz; The Forecast

It was the last week of holidays for me and I’m looking forward to university starting again tomorrow. I hope everyone’s looking forward to the upcoming week as much as I am.

Maastricht: Bookstore in a church

I love books and while I’m not exactly a church-goer, there’s one church in Maastricht (Netherlands) that I’m quite regularly drawn to. Guess why?

I love that they turned this church into a book store. It has lots of law books and a lovely café at the back which makes me love it, but really, it’s worth visiting just for the looks of it.
